The University of Houston women's softball season is winding down as they approach the final games of the regular season.  Their home stadium has provided fans with an elevated experience with the addition of a new outfield video board as well as a production system to web stream every pitch to the online community.

The stadium's new LED video board is the fifth largest on-campus softball stadium video board in the country and the largest in the state of Texas!

The upgrades include an MSG flypack system with three cameras and features a NewTek TriCaster Mini system capable of clips playback, instant replay, and multi-camera switching. The system is used to display live camera angles, graphics, video clips, and replay to the video board in addition to the web stream. The flypack features heavy duty casters and locking lids that double as tables, and also provides the flexibility to pack up the system and produce events around campus.

Dunkin Donuts Park a Hit for the Hartford Yard Goats

Baseball season is upon us and teams are gearing up for their upcoming baseball season.  The Hartford Yard Goats Baseball Club, the Double-A Eastern League Affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, is about to begin their second season at Dunkin Donuts Park with achievements to hang their hat on.  The Yard Goats were named the 2017 Team of the Year by ballparkdigest.com, an accolade awarded to the club that featured increased attendance, improved operations, and a strong fan following.  Dunkin Donuts Park was also crowned Ballpark of the Year by ballparkdigest.com, beating out brand new Major League ballparks!  This award goes to a new or remodeled baseball stadium with the best mix of fan amenities, architectural design, appearance, and site selection.

In addition to these awards from ballparkdigest.com, the Yard Goat's General Manager, Tim Restall, was named the 2017 Eastern League Executive of the Year.

Media Support Group was proud to play a part in this success by providing the video replay system for the ballpark.  This integration involves fans by pushing content, live feeds, and replay to the video board, as well as providing a live feed of the game throughout the ballpark mezzanine, concession stands, and suite TV's.

The system features multiple camera connection points around the ballpark utilizing fiber technology and a Sony PTZ camera mounted in centerfield.  Ikegami cameras handle the main camera angles, while a Wave Central wireless camera system is used to capture crowd shots.

The system is centered around Ross video equipment that includes switching, graphics, and video distribution.  Other equipment that makes up this impressive system includes AJA recorders, Abekas replay systems, and a Clear-Com intercom system.
