The Venue is a modern worship service featuring a live band and a video feed of the pastor preaching every Sunday. The addition of a 19X11 LED Screen enhances the message each week in a life size manner. The sermon is broadcast to The Venue via fiber transport from the main sanctuary located 1000 ft away.
The new Vanguard LED screen was a solution to replace aging projectors with expensive bulbs and improve the quality of various content and live feeds to the viewing audience.
Since the venue features a video feed to broadcast the sermon, it was imperative that the upgrade be top notch. With a pixel pitch of 5mm, 16 bit color processing, and high gray scale, the new board outshines the previous two projector screens that existed. The low profile mask offers very wide viewing angles so there's not a bad seat in the house.
The screen was installed using a free standing truss system which helped speed up the installation, save hardware costs and helped with placement. Since the screen is freestanding, it allows the screen to be moved to another location in the future, if desired.
The upgrade is part of series of AV improvements all originating from the addition of a brand new Sanctuary outfitted with LED screens for IMAG and a control room that is used to broadcast to the web and TV. Stay tuned for all the details in what was involved in that project.
